WoundRight
WoundRight is a comprehensive mobile solution we developed to simplify and enhance wound care management for clinicians. Designed around best practices in wound care, the system integrates software, mobile technology, and standardized clinical workflows to support every step of the wound care process. Our goal was to provide a fully automated assessment tool that allows clinicians to document wound and ostomy assessments directly at the point of care, making documentation faster and more accurate. Beyond assessments, WoundRight enables users to prescribe treatments and set up follow-ups right within the app, streamlining workflows and ensuring continuity of care. With this tool, we focused on enabling clinicians to manage wounds more efficiently, allowing them to focus more on patient care and less on administrative tasks.

- AWS Cloud Serverless Architecture
HJS was contracted in 2021 to develop an innovative web-based portal for a state health agency, designed to streamline the process of verifying Social Security numbers and retrieving Title II and Title XVI information critical for Medicaid eligibility determination. The system connects to the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) National Compute Center (NCC) and ensures compliance with stringent HIPAA, HITECH, State, and Federal standards. Additionally, HJS has implemented FedRAMP-compliant AWS cloud services for secure and efficient operations.
The solution utilizes a serverless design fully hosted in AWS to reduce server costs and ensure a constantly patched, secure environment. User authentication and password management are provided through AWS Cognito, while a VPN connection facilitates secure communication with the SSA’s NCC.
To ensure a seamless user experience, the portal features an interface built with the Angular Framework and Angular Material UI Library, designed to match the look and feel of existing systems, minimizing training and transition efforts for staff. The system includes robust features such as user event logging, audit trails, and customizable reports, offering transparency and accountability in operations.
HJS adopted an agile development approach, with iterative releases that allowed end users to review functionality throughout the process. This methodology ensured the final product met the user needs while adhering to the project’s scheduled release date.
